FVOAS to Raffle Hand Made Quilt at Sandwich Fair

Pat Boesche and Jean Slaughter (pictured), part of the gifted artist community at FVOAS, have donated a beautiful handmade quilt that will be raffled off at the Sandwich Fair. Tickets will be available at the FVOAS Craft Booth along with many other handmade and specialty items. Stop by at the FVOAS Craft Booth in Commercial Building #3 featuring knit and crocheted items including the ever popular dish cloths and chair booties. New this year, a representative from the Illinois ICASH Program to assist adults in claiming $2.5 billion in recovered cash belonging to Illinois residents. A representative from ICASH will be at the Craft booth Wednesday Sept. 6th and Thursday, Sept. 7th from noon to 6 p.m. Stop by Grannies Eatery, in building #23 across from the Round House, for a famous bloomin’ onion, Polancic’s huge pork tenderloin, homemade turkey sandwich, fried pickles and more. FVOAS is always looking for volunteers in Grannies Eatery, the Craft Booth or to main the parking lot. Purchase a parking lot pass and walk right across the street to the Fairgrounds. Stop by Finally Fridays for a cold one, directly across from the Fairgrounds, FVOAS’ full service bar, open Fair Week Wed. and Thurs. 5-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5-12 p.m. A pop challenge is being conducted to procure the many cases of name brand soda that are needed to stock the coolers at Grannie’s Eatery.
