Kish Health System is a community-based health system that provides services to the greater DeKalb County area in northern Illinois. The system is comprised of two non-profit community hospitals and several other non-profit healthcare providers. The health system has facilities located in DeKalb, Sandwich, Sycamore, Plano, Genoa, Hampshire and Waterman. The new Kishwaukee Hospital, located in DeKalb, is a 100-bed hospital that opened in October 2007. Valley West Hospital, a critical access hospital in Sandwich, became part of the health system in 1998.
In addition to the two hospitals, the health system also has two cancer centers, a physician group with locations in DeKalb, Genoa, Plano, Rochelle, Waterman and Sandwich, including a clinic at the Fox Valley Community Center. KishHealth System also offers hospice, home health, and behavioral health services. In 2011, the Joint Center opened at Kish Hospital, and in 2013, a new patient wing opened at Valley West.
