Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to meet the clients’ needs and interests.
• Monitor clients’ engagement and participation in activities.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting positive social interactions.
• Assist in meal times, ensuring activities are timely paused and resumed.
• Maintain accurate client records, documenting participation and any noticeable changes in behavior or mood.
• Communicate regularly with clients’ families and healthcare providers to keep them aware of their loved one’s level of engagement and overall happiness.
• Ensure clients’ safety and comfort during all activities, taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up the activity area after use.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or recreational setting desired, but not neccessary.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as setting up and taking down activity areas.
